Upholstery Cleaning
The Club Carpet Care is
pleased to provide quality upholstery cleaning and fabric protection services
for all types of upholstered furnishing. We always perform a fabric test
to check durability of dyes and materials. Our upholstery cleaning professionals
first inspect the upholstery with customers in order to understand their
needs and expectations. Some colors bleed and we will do our best to determine
this before cleaning. (Please see our disclaimer for further information.)
We then pretreat all heavily soiled and problem areas with chemicals formulated
for the specific type of fabric. |

|
The upholstery is steam cleaned with
a fine mist. Then, we neutralize the furniture so that no residue remains.
We leave cushions standing upright to allow them to air dry properly. |

Extraction
Many of today's upholstery fibers are able to
withstand a steam machine cleaning. The furniture fabric is sprayed with
a pretreatment
enzyme, then the fibers are agitated brushed
to loosen soils and activate the pretreatment enzyme. A steam cleaning
hand tool is used on the fibers to flush soils and chemical away with pure
water. |

Fabric Protectors
Fabric protection works on upholstered furniture.
It prolongs the life of the fibers and protects them from staining. They
give you extra time to blot up spills.
Area Cleaning:
Area cleaning means leaving the large pieces
of furniture in place, items such as beds, sofas, tables etc. The open
area that you can see and the areas in which you walk are cleaned. You
prepare for traffic area cleaning by moving small items out of the way.
For example, the hallway portion should be clear.
Urine Damage to Carpets
Stains caused by pet urine on carpeting
are a particularly unpleasant problem. There are spot cleaners and chemical
treatments available to the home owner that are effective if they are used
as soon as the problem occurs. However, for severe cases you need a professional
and that's where we can help.
Sometimes pet urine treatment requires the removal
and replacement of the carpet pad and even the tackless strip. The floor
and carpet backing must be cleaned with powerful (safe) chemicals using
steam cleaning equipment. Even after all this effort, some carpets are
not able to be salvaged. |
|
There are times when we are able to eliminate the
odors even though a discoloration will remain on the carpet fibers. In
other cases the carpet can be completely restored with no trace of odor
or discoloration. There are many factors that determine the results: the
sex of the pet, the age and diet of the animal and of course the type of
carpeting.
It is for this reason that we provide an evaluation
for each specific situation. A test is performed and we present a comprehensive
written estimate that clearly defines the expected results.
Urine Damage to Upholstery
This is a particularly difficult problem because
in most cases the odor can be controlled, but the stains and discoloration
will remain. This work is performed during one visit and is priced at only
a few dollars more than regular upholstery cleaning.
Other Pet Odors
Pet body oils can be a particularly bad problem
in some homes. These oils produce strong odors, but they can usually be
eliminated. It often requires a two step cleanings process utilizing special
chemicals applied over a two day period. Costs are by quotation. Expect
the price to be about twice the cost of regular carpet cleaning.
